It must be your lucky day! Two posts from the G-SNAP! team. Woohoo!
Well, today we’re proud to announce the availability of some new features. Here they are:
1. Moderation: in order to control the quality of your content, you now have a few choices as how you deal with viewer comments or viewers themselves.
- Viewer comments: By default comments are visible but you can also set comments to hidden (via Snapcast settings). That means a comment must be approved prior to it being posted to the Snapcast.
- Trusted contributor: If you set comments to hidden, you can promote a user who is doing a good job to be a “trusted contributor”. That is, all future comments they write will be automagically approved.
- Ban user: well, this isn’t exciting but it’s necessary. If you have a viewer causing you grief, you can boot them from your Snapcast.
A few additional features we launched:
- End Snapcast: by popular demand, you now have the ability to end your Snapcast. So, when you choose to do so, people can’t enter in any additional comments.
- Default Snapcast: for those of you who use our mobile product, setting a specific Snapcast to be your default Snapcast will make your x-casting a little easier. When you xcast, you no longer need to specify the Snapcast ID. Just enter a subject and you’re off to the races!
- Inappropriate word filter: we’ve had this for a little while but now you have the ability to turn it off (it’s on by default). Please continue to keep it as clean as possible as there might be a younger crowd in attendance!
Well, that’s about it for now. Enjoy the new features. As always, please keep the emails coming as we love to hear your thoughts and requests.
